Email Validation Speed & Accuracy Depend on Your Internet (Port 25 Explained)

TsEmailValidator.exe is a desktop email validator. It does not run checks on our cloud servers. Validation happens from your PC, through your internet connection / ISP (or your SOCKS5 proxy). That is why speed and accuracy are not the same for every user.

The short truth

  • Port 25 open: SMTP checks work properly → results are usually excellent.
  • Port 25 blocked: many mail servers cannot be reached cleanly → you must compromise on speed and quality.
  • Your network decides: ISP routing, greylisting, rate limits, and proxy quality all affect outcomes.

Why Port 25 matters

Real mailbox verification uses SMTP communication with destination mail servers. Most of that traffic uses outbound TCP Port 25. Many home ISPs block Port 25 to reduce spam. If your ISP blocks it, TsEmailValidator.exe cannot complete full SMTP checks the way a business line or Port-25-open network can.

When Port 25 is NOT blocked

On an open Port 25 connection (or a working SOCKS5/VPS path that allows SMTP:25), you typically get:

  • Faster throughput on large lists
  • Clearer Safe / Invalid decisions
  • Fewer Temporary / Needs Retry and Network Blocked outcomes
  • Better export quality for campaigns

In that case, results are usually awesome — because the software can actually talk to mail servers the correct way.

When Port 25 IS blocked

If outbound Port 25 is blocked, validation quality drops. You may see more:

  • Network Blocked
  • Temporary / Needs Retry
  • Soft failures that need re-checking later

That does not mean the software is “broken.” It means your network cannot complete full SMTP probes. In this situation you must compromise on speed and quality, or fix the network path first.

What you can do

  1. Test Port 25 from the app (Port 25 Guide / local probe).
  2. If blocked, ask your ISP for outbound Port 25 on a business/static line — or use a SOCKS5 proxy/VPS where SMTP:25 is allowed.
  3. Use the in-app Test on Custom SOCKS5 before starting a big list.
  4. Export Temporary / Needs Retry separately and re-check later.

Bottom line: TsEmailValidator.exe performance is network-dependent. Open Port 25 (or a valid SMTP:25 proxy path) = strong speed and accuracy. Blocked Port 25 = unavoidable compromise on speed and quality.
